Let's face it, everyone wants to get into shape. A lot of people long for that lean, slim 6-pack abs. Guys want big arms, rounded sculpted-detail shoulders, a broad V-shape back, and that well-built square chest; however, finding the right program to create that desired look can be challenging. The same thing applies to women; they crave that sexy mom/beach model body look but researching for the perfect program to deliver those qualities can be frustrating. In other words, finding a program that shapes men and women into these mentioned traits tend to be a struggle; however, it is even tough when time is not in their favor.
Lack of Information
One of the reasons why people struggle to get into shape tends to be the lack of accurate/reliable information. Getting into shape should be easy, but how can someone get to their goal(s) if they don't have a structured blueprint to guide them? Not only should the person be given specific training strategies when doing a particular exercise; however, they need a diet layout. Exercising is not the only important element in getting into shape, but diet and even recovery play a massive role. How many people share this information? How much detail is provided? As mentioned earlier, not only does lack of information prevent a person's physical change; however, the individual can give up on their goals if they don't see change, no matter how many times they train or how healthy they eat.
In MPM Fitness, some training methods given to clients are Reverse Pyramid Training and German Volume Training. What's the difference? While Reverse Pyramid Training is designed to promote strength and muscle gain, German Volume Training increases muscle hypertrophy, creating lean muscle mass. Both styles are effective but using them correctly makes a massive impact. To put it another way, both protocols allow the individual to gain strength in their compound movements/exercises.
While diet may seem like an ugly word for many, a lot of people can misunderstand the concept. Some people tend to assume they have to stop eating their favorite meals/snacks; however, the truth is you can still eat them and build an incredible body. It sounds crazy or too good to be true, but that is the reality. Research indicates it all comes down to calories, whether you are bulking, cutting, or simply doing a recomposition. It's not what you eat but how much you eat. If you're a person who loves to eat steak or cheeseburgers every day, you can rest assured that you don't have to sacrifice those meals to lose weight or gain muscle.
Recovery
I love to train, but I need to let my body recover, especially if I'm doing intense training sessions. Many people assume they are packing on muscle during their workouts; however, what you are getting is a good pump, but that pump fades away. You see, when you recover, you are building muscle. Training every day without giving your body the time to recuperate delays your gains. In other words, it will affect your performance negatively. To progress weekly, you have to allow your body to recover.
Lack of Time
Whether you're a parent, student, entrepreneur, musician, teacher, doctor, or whatever profession you have, it can be challenging to work on your health. Let's face it, everyone has a busy life/responsibility; however, many people want to hit the gym, but one of their primary problems is fitting it into their schedule. Parents have to attend to their kids/loved ones, teachers have to grade papers, students have homework, musicians have to create new music, doctors have patients, and entrepreneurs have to work on their businesses. While that is their profession/academic responsibility, they still have a life to enjoy and take care of. That is why MPM Fitness helps individuals with busy lives train 3x per week. As a business owner, I need time to work on my company; it is my responsibility to build it daily; however, if I were training every day, I wouldn't have sufficient time to work on it. Not only does training 3x per week allows me to work on my business; however, it gives me the freedom to have a social life.
Final Words
There are many reasons why people struggle to get into shape, but lack of information, recovery, and time tend to be the primary responses. Providing people with a proper and detailed outline will lead them down the right path. Having those effective protocols can promote physical change, along with an accurate recovery time period. While these facts benefit the body, it also helps the person balance their professional and social life. Getting into shape shouldn't be difficult, but it should be flexible; it has to be enjoyable. If the person doesn't enjoy the process, they won't finish the journey.
