Can Anyone Get into Shape with Bodyweight?

     I used to believe you needed a gym membership or go to an actual gym to get into shape; however, I'm glad I no longer believe that myth. Don't get me wrong, going to the gym. Benching 200lbs on an incline barbell bench press, deadlifting 350lbs, and doing 115lbs weighted chin-ups are great, and the pump and excitement you get from setting personal records is a feeling that will never get old. However, what if you can do that too with bodyweight? What if you can transform your body with training from the comfort of your home? What if you can look your absolute best with bodyweight training?

     During 2020 (the pandemic), no one couldn't go out, not even to a local park. While that was tough for many people around the globe, many people got too comfortable and stopped building themselves physically. However, during Covid, I asked myself, "what am I going to do?" I'm pretty sure you asked yourself the same thing. My answer was, "I'm going to rely on bodyweight training until my gym opens up." While my gym took nearly two years to open up completely, I relied on my body to transform itself. Not only did I get stronger; however, my body looked better than before. 

The Truth About Bodyweight Training

     You see, many people assume bodyweight training is for people who are at the beginning stage of their fitness journey but let me tell you this...THAT IS A LIE! I've been training for more than four years, and I say bodyweight training can be as hard as weightlifting; you just have to make it a challenge. In other words, perform advanced bodyweight exercises, and you'll see how challenging it can be. For instance, I'm talking about doing single-arm push-ups, handstand push-ups, sissy squats, and dragon pistol squats. While these are some of the best bodyweight movements anyone can do anywhere, many people struggle to do them. Not because it's too advanced, but because they aren't physically progressing on them.

     I believe in training smarter, not longer. I also believe in using the proper training protocols to help you put on size/muscle while encouraging a lean body mass. If you've been following me on Instagram or done any of my programs, you know that I rely on Reverse Pyramid Training, Rest Pause Training, Hypertrophy Training, German Volume Training, and UPSET/Reverse Drop Set Training.      Here's the thing, I didn't want this program to be another "30-Day Bodyweight Challenge" or a routine that you can find on Google, YouTube, or any other social media platform. Instead, I crafted this program to have people walk in public with a sharp, cut, and powerful physique. I wanted this program to make you look like a master of fitness. In other words, I wanted you to be a fitness professional. If things get globally ugly and we go back into lockdown, your body is your gym. You will still be building yourself physically. You will be ahead of others.

     Everyone has different lives. Some may have the chance and the financial option to go to a gym; however, others can't attend one for many reasons. Here's the thing, I always aim to give my clients the best because they deserve it. Not only is it my professional goal to help others physically, but I never give my clients sloppy seconds.
